Every quarter we will turn the spotlight on one of the team. First up: Simon Finch.
Simon is an Investment Consultant at Enhance Group and works alongside Dr Ruzhen Li in the Advisory team.
Simon joined the firm a little under two years ago, having originally qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2004 with a Big Four accountancy firm and becoming a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales in 2014.
In 2007, Simon moved to a Jersey-based investment manager, working initially as a discretionary portfolio manager, and then as a successful fund manager where he focused predominantly on the Asian equity markets for a period of close to 12 years.
Simon’s experience of being a fund manager has been invaluable in probing investment managers and ensuring the most suitable outcomes for our clients. His role leverages his equity market experience, in association with his strong understanding of Environmental, Social & Governance matters, providing insight and depth to client interactions and underpinning fund manager due diligence.
Since Simon has been at Enhance, he has accrued a number of esteemed qualifications: he completed CISI’s Investment Advice Diploma (in addition to already holding the Investment Management Certificate); and more recently, and notably, the Chartered Wealth Manager Qualification, the highest level of accreditation through the CISI. This highly-regarded qualification was developed in consultation with leading stockbrokers, investment banks and professional trade bodies, including the Wealth Management Association (WMA), and recognised by financial services recruiters as the best qualification for roles in wealth management.
